South West Tool Hire has launched a heartwarming initiative aimed at bringing the community together to support the Daniel Baird Foundation, a charity dedicated to raising awareness and providing public access to bleed control kits, aiming to save lives by equipping communities with essential first aid resources.

Since its establishment in 2011, South West Tool Hire has been a reliable provider of tool and plant hire services to Bristol and the South West. Over the years, the company has expanded its reach and earned a reputation as a trusted supplier among trade professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike.

The campaign, aptly named #ToolStories, invites trade customers and DIY enthusiasts to share their projects online, with the company pledging to donate £5 for Daniel Baird bleed kits as part of the #BintheBlade campaign at the Daniel Baird Foundation for every submission successfully shared.

The initiative seeks to tap into the creative spirit of the local community, encouraging participants to showcase their skills using South West Tool Hire’s extensive range of tools.

“We believe in the power of community and the incredible impact we can to Bristol when we come together,” said Lee Edwards, Managing Director at South West Tool Hire. “Through #ToolStories, we not only celebrate creativity but also support a cause close to our hearts.”

How It Works

Participants are encouraged to submit photos and videos of their DIY projects, from perfectly drilled holes using the cordless drill with dust extractor, to beautifully sanded floors with a floor sander, and impressive garden transformations with the extensive range of gardening tools and equipment available.

Each submission, which can be made via a simple click here or by scanning the QR code, will result in a £5 donation to the Daniel Baird Foundation towards their Daniel Baird bleed kits as part of the #BintheBlade campaign.

Why You Should Share Your Story…

South West Tool Hire’s #ToolStories campaign encourages customers to share their tool-related achievements in a fun and creative way whilst supporting the Daniel Baird Foundation in the process.

Participants can showcase their projects, from minor fixes to major renovations, and gain recognition. By joining, they help raise funds for knife crime awareness, education, and prevention. The campaign promotes creativity, safety, and a fun experience.

Lee Edwards emphasised the significance of the initiative, adding, “Every tool story shared is a step towards making a tangible difference in the fight against knife crime. It’s a wonderful way to blend community spirit with charitable giving.”

Commitment to Community Involvement

South West Tool Hire hope the campaign will inspire widespread participation, creating a ripple effect of goodwill across the region. The company will feature selected submissions on its social media platforms, giving participants their moment of fame and inspiring others to join the movement.

Looking Ahead

With a strong emphasis on community support and engagement, South West Tool Hire aims to create lasting connections and drive positive change. The company encourages everyone to follow their social media channels for updates and to gain inspiration from fellow tool heroes.

South West Tool Hire’s #ToolStories initiative highlights the power of community and the impact of collective effort. By blending creativity, fun, and philanthropy, the campaign promises to bring joy to participants and invaluable support to the Daniel Baird Foundation.

Saving Lives: The Daniel Baird Foundation’s Fight Against Knife Crime

The Daniel Baird Foundation, established in memory of Daniel Baird, aims to raise awareness about knife crime and promote preventative measures for safer communities. The foundation focuses on education, community engagement, and supporting violence reduction initiatives.

One key initiative is the distribution of bleed kits, designed to provide immediate aid during severe bleeding incidents. The foundation advocates for these kits in public spaces and encourages training for their use, reinforcing its commitment to safety and prevention.
